An Iconic Day for me.. the Day I was going to See Rahul Gandhi, the grand-grand son of the 1st PM of India. !!!
Well, he had come to interact with the student of Anna Univ. A select few were chosen... and I was among them.. For me, it was D-Day.. A Day I thought I would cherish forever.. but.. I was rudely awakened from my dream..
It all started at 2... we walked to Vivekananda Auditorium where we were made to wait under the scortching sun for 1 hour.. checked to head and toe.. and yet the magical moment dint arrive.. It was to only at 5 30 .. 3 hours late... And That too , to leave 35 mins later...
Well, belonging to the 1st political family , he had that charm and diplomacy in his speech... He Stared it like this-" Before Independence, India was one big Country, But after 1947, it was divided into 2- one where we live- 7% of the Indian Population who are moving very fast to fulfil their destiny and bring laurels to their country.. who got the Opportunity at the right time.. which brought them where they are.. and the other India- 97% of our people who dint get theOpportunity, the priveleges we got.. and so they are moving very slowly... then how can we become developed when the majority of our population despite doing Hard work , are Unproductive... well, each and every person- every farmer, every potter should be conneceted to our Economy and The World's by providing them the basic amenities , the basic technology... telecom, roads, electricity..."
This was the most impressive part of the meet.. what followed were a stream of questions relating to Corruption, Transparency in Our Political System, Money wasted on Hoarding, Propaganda.. none of which he could answer with an insight we expected from him esp after his UP Heroics.. I mean.. the best he could say.. when a boy asked- why any party does not promise for a beggar-free nation? was this-" do u want me to lock all the beggars?
And after this unconvincing act he posed for pictures showing him in full glory.. interacting with the students, the common man.. a picture so characteristic of him.. pictures which adorn our newspapers every other day..
And every other Indian seeing that pic would be under the same illusion I was under until now,that- Here we have a leader class- apart, who is one amongst us and working for us... but it was on this day that I knew.. that the enigma is a fake.. Like every other person he too has many layers in him.. and even today Our country does not have a true political Leader.. For there are many people who can say that there is a problem, many can talk about the prob with our country.. but there will be only one who would say how things can be worked out,, How things can be made right... and that Day Our Nation Will See the Light Of the Day!!!
P.s: Besides showing me the true face Of a Politician the day had yet another highlight... I gave my first interview to a news channel!!! It was a revelation!

Being Human!!
hmm.. iTs a long time.. I have been busy.. with my French Classes and then my yrc camp.. but frankly I have been really lazy.. but now as I start to write I want to recal an incident which took Place about 2 weeks back.
I was coming bach home from my coll at about 7. I know its pretty latebut thats when my French Class gets over. Anyway, I was waitin for the bus.. After about 20 mins I finally got into one.. It was ok.. but as we moved on it became really over- crowded. Ppl were literally falling on each other. On thsi the T.Nagar Traffic! I was stranded there for about 15 mins .. and all long I was standing.. and sweating like a Pig!! suddenly I felt like fainting.. felt completely out of breath.. so I asked the girl sitting to open the Window... It was act. a latchless one.. when she opened the window.. the lady sitting next to the window protested saying she could not hold it... even after the girl told that she would hold it till I get better, that Lady did not give in saying it could fall on her hand and so on.. that was the last straw... the girl gave that woman a piece of her mind.. saying that she could not even do such a small service for a person in pain! then she voluntarily gave her seat to me and even helped me get out of the bus when I reached my stop.
In our daily life, during each day when we struggle to survive and to attain success , all , just to make ourselves Happy... we forget that Happiness does not always mean doing something for ourself.. that every1 does.. In Fact its the small things which we do for others.. gives true Happiness that which nothing else can give..
And so I was greatly Touched by her gesture.. and am greatly indebted to her.. Not just for helping me.. but also For Reminding me of the simplest way of being Happy-BEING HUMAN!
